Images of every kind, not only art: photographs, scans, maps, scientific images and documents, from open archives, libraries and museums.
Works given freely
Works their makers have released under open licences that allow this use.
Nothing else
Anything still in copyright without the maker’s permission, or whose rights are unclear, is left out.
